The Polymarket lawsuit isn't about gambling, it's about survival.

Polymarket simply sued Massachusetts. Most individuals are ignoring this to stare at charts, but this is the infrastructure battle that really matters. They're arguing that states have zero authority right here and that solely federal regulation by way of the CFTC applies.

Massachusetts already went after Kalshi, forcing geofencing and treating prediction markets like casinos. Polymarket is pushing again, claiming these are monetary merchandise, not slots.

That is the fork in the street. If the state wins, we get a fragmented mess of rules that kills liquidity. If Polymarket wins and the CFTC takes over, on-chain derivatives get a transparent federal lane to develop.
